Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how KITOSO, LLC, a Florida limited liability company ("Bienvenido," "we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Bienvenido mobile application and related services (the "App").

By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. About Bienvenido

Bienvenido is a free communication and visitor-logging tool for gated communities. It lets residents pre-register visitors, lets neighborhood administrators and guards confirm arrivals and broadcast messages, and keeps a digital log of activity at the gate.

Bienvenido is a convenience and record-keeping tool. It is not a security service, alarm system, or guarantee of safety, and it does not replace guards, gates, or human judgment. See our Terms & Conditions for the full description of what the App is and is not.

2. Information We Collect

Information you provide as a resident or administrator. When you register, we collect your phone number, your name, and your household, house, or unit identifier within your neighborhood. Administrators may also provide neighborhood and house records they manage.

Visitor information entered by users. Residents and administrators may enter information about visitors, deliveries, and guests — typically a visitor's name and, optionally, a license plate. This information is entered by users, not by the visitors themselves. If you enter information about another person, you are responsible for having a lawful basis to do so. We act only as a processor of the information you choose to enter and are not responsible for the accuracy, legality, or content of that information.

Verification information. Bienvenido verifies your identity using your existing phone number through WhatsApp. We receive confirmation that your number was verified. We do not receive your WhatsApp messages, contacts, or chat history.

Information collected automatically. When you use the App, we automatically collect device and usage information, including a push-notification token, device type and operating system, app activity and timestamps, log data, and an IP address. We use this to operate the App and to deliver notifications.

We do not collect payment information, because the App is free. We do not collect any categories of information beyond those described above.

3. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • create and verify your account through your phone number;
  • enable the core features of the App — visitor pre-registration, arrival confirmations, gate messaging, and the digital log;
  • send notifications, such as "your guest has arrived" or "package at the gate";
  • maintain the security, integrity, and proper functioning of the App and the neighborhoods that use it;
  • keep records for security and operational purposes; and
  • comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.

4. Responsibility for Information About Others

When you enter information about a visitor, guest, or any other person, you represent that you are entitled to share it and that doing so does not violate any law or any other person's rights. You — not Bienvenido — are responsible for the information you enter. We provide tools to keep this information minimal and short-lived (for example, visitor pre-registrations automatically clear after 8 hours), but we do not control what users choose to enter.

5. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as follows:

  • Service providers. We use Supabase to host and store App data, and we use mobile push-notification services (including Apple Push Notification service and Google Firebase Cloud Messaging) to deliver notifications. We rely on WhatsApp/Meta for phone-number verification. These providers process information on our behalf to operate the App.
  • Within your neighborhood. Information you enter is shared with the residents, administrators, and guards of your neighborhood as needed for the App to function — for example, a visitor pre-registration is visible to the guard at the gate.
  • Legal and safety. We may disclose information if required by law, legal process, or governmental request, or where we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, safety, or property of any person.
  • Business transfers. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

6. Data Retention

We retain information for as long as needed to operate the App and for security and operational purposes.

  • Visitor pre-registrations automatically clear after 8 hours.
  • Digital visitor logs and security records are retained for security and operational purposes and may be kept for as long as we consider necessary for those purposes.
  • Account information is retained while your account is active.

You may request deletion of your account and associated information as described in Section 8.

7. Data Storage and Security

App data is stored with Supabase, and information is processed and stored on servers located in the United States. We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, consistent with the description of the App on our website.

However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot and do not guarantee absolute security. You use the App at your own risk, and we are not responsible for unauthorized access, loss, or misuse of information beyond our reasonable control.

8. Your Choices and Rights

You may request to access, correct, or delete your account and associated personal information by contacting us at mail@bienvenido.com.co. We will respond consistent with applicable law.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local data-protection laws. Where those laws apply to you, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your information, and to object to certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the address above.

9. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided information to us, contact us at mail@bienvenido.com.co and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

10. International Users

The App is operated from the United States, and information is stored and processed in the United States. If you use the App from outside the United States, you understand that your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where data-protection laws may differ from those of your country. By using the App, you consent to this transfer.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
